-Training in wikipedia for the staff of the Museum's new Study Center (1-8, October th).Impact: Incorporation of the Wikipedia tool to the activities and workshops of that section, which will result in more members of the community and its consequent multiplicative effect on the communities and projects with which they will work in the future.
- Workshop in Barcelona (October, 23th) to finish unfinished entries of the wikipedia workshop on Black Iberian Studies held at the Reina Sofia Museum in June 2024.
Impact: Workshop where people from the area of anti-racial studies and visibilization of Afrodescendants in Spain gathered to complete the unfinished entries of the “Iberian Black Studies” edition.
- Wikipedia editing workshop on “Culture Wars”. (December, 11th) Impact: Workshop with students of Political Science and Law at the Complutense University of Madrid, where they joined forces to complete the entries proposed and worked on in the edition “Militarization of Political Communication: beyond the culture wars” held at the Reina Sofia Museum in 2023. A day where basic notions of wikipedia editing were given and the attendees contributed to complete the entries that were made at the time, contributing others and discussing the selection.
- Wikipedia editing workshop on Memory of Nou Barris ( December 20).
Impact: Workshop with people from the neighborhood of Nou Barris, where they were trained in the central concepts of Wikipedia, as a tool to recover the memory of the neighborhood. The workshop focused on improving the Wikipedia entry of Nou Barris in Spanish, and training the attendees on how to digitize and upload to Wikimedia Commons their heritage and visual archive (posters, photographs, graphic material) as we did in the day of recovery of memory of the neighborhood of Lavapiés (April 2023).

The fund was requested to complete the entries of some events that took place at the Wikipedia Residence at the Reina Sofia Museum, which were left incomplete. No new links were created, but simply activities were done to complete the entries that were left unfinished. Although many activities were created during the residency period, the ones that were fully completed that have to do with the fund are detailed below, because they are linked to groups at social risk and less visible in society.
In this way, priority was given to activities that had to do with racialized people, with the memory of working class neighborhoods, and others related to people who suffer discrimination such as the LGTBi community.
The activities and their respective entries that have been completed thanks to the financing of this fund are detailed below:

Part 2: Learning
edit4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)
I fervently believe that after having spent 2 years training the teams of different areas of the museum: collections, museum located, library, study center, communication and having closed each activity by reviewing the contributions to Wikipedia or Wikimedia common and especially insisting that Wikipedia is a collaborative space, I leave with the peace of mind that any person in the museum who has been trained by me during this time, can undertake this type of activities. And most importantly: including groups that were not usually part of the museum's usual audiences.
5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
Well, in some cases, such as the activity with Nou Barris in Barcelona, we thought they would be much more enthusiastic about being inspired by a similar activity with a neighborhood in Madrid. What happened is that I encountered a major problem: they wanted to do it but did not know how. What we had to do was to reflect on how the neighborhood was described in the Wikipedia entry (they were not happy with it) and what we worked on was to incorporate more visions to the entry and, on the other hand, to upload documents of the neighborhood, archive in Wikimedia Commons, therefore, the initial objective shifted a little, but we managed to work on something.
6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
I plan to share an extended memory, with this last closing part that I was allowed to do thanks to the Grant. I will share it on Wikimedia Commons
