Desde 2022 Carolina ha hecho con fondos del propio Museo Nacional Reina Sofia la labor de Wikipedista. Ante el fin de la financiación de fondos por el museo, lo que se busca con este grant es consolidar el trabajo inicial y abordar áreas del museo que no llegaron a abordarse en la residencia por falta de tiempo como la sección de Colecciones y Educación. Esto generaría un enorme impacto sobre las audiencias del museo, así como se pudo comprobar en otras áreas en las que se aplicó la experiencia de la wikipedista en residencia, tales como Actividades Públicas o Museo en red, que generaron una amplia acogida en la comunidad, desembocando en un efecto positivo para la comunidad tanto interna (funcionarios) como externa ( público del museo y en especial proveniente de colectivos activistas del barrio) que conocieron wikipedia y saben ahora editar en Wikipedia.

Carolina Espinoza es periodista y antropóloga, es miembro de la comunidad Wikipedia desde el año 2022, donde se ha desempeñado como wikipedista en residencia en el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Desde ahí ha realizado desde el comienzo de su formación, actividades de difusión y formación a los equipos del museo, de manera que todos puedan ver en Wikipedia una herramienta más para trabajar e incorporar en las actividades. Carolina ha sido una activa usuaria, asistiendo además a eventos nacionales e internacionales de la comunidad y ha hecho una labor de divulgación en Wikipedia al interior de la comunidad del museo, y sus público, de relevancia, como se puede comprobar en la memoria que se adjunta.

Al programar los objetivos para finalizar el periodo de residencia de la wikipedista carolina Espinoza en el museo, y realizar la memoria técnica, la dirección se dio cuenta de que había grupos que no habían sido formados por el museo, en especial el de colecciones, ligado a la apuesta GLAM de Wikipedia. Se conversó - a través de un focus group en la reunión mensual de Actividades Públicas- con funcionarios de otros departamentos que, conocieron la formación en otras áreas ( Biblioteca, Museo en Red, Actividades Públicas) y manifestaron su deseo por incorporar también esos conocimientos en sus respectivas áreas.
