November 21, 2024: Overview of community-led conferences in 2025 funded by Conference and Event Fund.
October 15, 2024: General Support Fund (GSF) recipients will no longer required to submit any affiliate reporting information to the Wikimedia Affiliate Data. All affiliate reporting requirements will be met by the final GSF report in Fluxx.

September 15, 2024: The Conference and Event Fund program introduced 3 major updates and changes. Read more at: September 2024 update.
August 1, 2024: The Regional Budgets and Changes to the General Support Funds are published for fiscal year 2024–25.
July 1, 2024: Timelines of the General Support Fund and Rapid Fund are published for FY 2024–25. See the full announcement.

February 8, 2024: General Support Fund Round 2 announcement is published with information about round timeline and budget, as well as with important updates for new and returning applicants.
September 22, 2023: Wikimedia Alliances Fund updates are published. Due to the reduced funding, the application process is by invitation for non-profits from Sub-Saharan Africa and East, Southeast Asia, & Pacific regions.
September 21, 2023: The updated review framework for the General Support Fund is published.
August 8, 2023: New application form is published for General Support Fund (Wikimedia Community Fund). How to apply?
July 19, 2023: Thematic topics of General Support Fund now include public policy advocacy.
August 1, 2023: Regional Fund Committee calls announced in three funding regions.
July 7, 2023: General Support Fund timeline is available for the Round 1 and Round 2 applicants (fiscal year 2023-24).
July 1, 2023: Rapid Fund timeline is available for all cycles from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

May 1, 2023: There are important proposed changes to the General Support Fund to provide a lightweight process and ensure learning and partnership.
June 8, 2023: Rapid Fund application process is reopened. Review the timeline and apply.
June 1, 2023: Midpoint learning report requirement will be removed for all current General Support Fund partners.
May 24, 2023: Seven funding regions will be aligned to eight Wikimedia regions by July 1, 2023. See all expected changes here.
May 26, 2023: There will be new changes to the Rapid Fund (Wikimedia Community Fund) program. To support these changes, we will not accept any new Rapid Fund requests until June 7, 2023.
March 1, 2023: Community Resources will host co-thinking sessions about the renewal process to build ideas for a simplified renewal process of the General Support Fund.
February 15, 2023: Funding for Wikimania 2023 satellite events will be done only through General Support Fund.
