What are some reasons this group would use Wikipedia? How would they benefit from it, or what would they find useful?
editThink about what they would be interested in reading and learning about; does Wikipedia provide better access to information this group cares about?
As i am planning to engage Engineering Students because they have to work a lot for their research/thesis paper. So it has a huge opportunity to involve them under a academic way.
Project idea
editWhat language Wikipedia projects will you promote to new readers?
editEnglish,Bangla
How will you communicate with new readers? Will you be communicating with them online, in-person, or both?
editAs i have already implemented some sessions in my Department s definitely i will go for Weekly meetup. Besides we can create a fb Chat group also for update.
Describe your idea to engage new readers. How might it be implemented? What will you tell people about Wikipedia?
editThink about the steps that might involved to make this idea happen, and what you might teach people about your experience or others' experiences using Wikipedia.
I am planning to take more then 10 Workshop in my Department as they are the beginners, so they need basic guidelines for Contributing . Already i have taken one workshop of WikiProject Engineering here is the details . So i think as all the participants are Engineering Students at least they will be interested to use Wikipedia for their academic purpose.
How will you know if this project is successful? What are some outcomes that you can share after the project is completed?
editIf you’re not certain about how to respond to this question when starting your idea, you do not need to answer it right now. Campaign participants and Wikimedia Foundation staff can help you consider some options.
- I will try to make some goal like 1000 Engineering related Articles or 100 new Contributors or 500 new readers if i got the above result i can understand my project is successful.
Do you think you can implement this idea? What support do you need?
editDo you need people with specific skills or resources to complete this idea? Are there any financial needs for this project? Do you need advising from Wikimedia Foundation staff?
Though i have communication with WEP Team but if i got any expertise help its more better. About financial i am not sure about it right now.
