I am a blocked user on a wiki. I want to be given another chance, but my request is declined. I think that there should be a page to train blocked users to see if you can give them another chance.

  •   Support fits in Grants:IdeaLab/Editor rescue. --Havang(nl) (talk) 11:42, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
  •   Support Helpful for both the individual's personal and editorial growth, but only upon the blocked individual's acknowledgement and understanding of their culpability in being blocked so that a productive reinstatement can be instituted. Ouranista (talk) 15:24, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
  •   Support Though I have reservations. However, like the kid with the hammer seeing lots of nails, I again see this as an application of EPR per where I explicitly mentioned the idea of resetting your EPR and effectively reverting to anonymous status. However, the status of the author of this idea sounds like he has earned some sort of death penalty, and mostly I'm wondering how his identity persists. If he sincerely wants to do better, then EPR would obviously show him what dimensions are causing troubles, and would even help him assess the magnitude of his transgressions. Also, the aging of the EPR data would help the contributor understand how long it will take for his negative EPR to move back towards neutrality. Shanen (talk) 22:57, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
  •   Support This is a great idea, it would encourage users who have previously engaged in bad behavior to clean up their acts and become valued contributors of quality content. I have read that many people who end up originally being quality contributors to wikis originally start out vandalizing them for personal amusement and only later do they start caring about the wikis and putting the skills that they learned while engaging in vandalizing to good use, and furthermore some users engaged in what others perceive as vandalism do not even realize they are doing anything wrong even if their conduct violates many Wikipedia policies. Giving people a chance to reform themselves through some kind of online mentorship and training program is a great idea. --Yetisyny (talk) 23:34, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
