Grants:IdeaLab/Appointing Wikipedia as database in agricultural and educational systems in Benin
Audience
editWho are the people you want to introduce Wikipedia to?
editAs Wikipedia content datas about all, it's an encyclopedia, it would be presented to Students in quality of ressource for their studies and to farmers as a bank of information or advice to enhance the level or the rate of agricultural production.
In what languages do they search for information, online or otherwise?
editAs Benin is a French country, the main language in which they'll search for information is French but they can also be formed to search for what they want in English, talking about the students for example.
In what ways does this group communicate with each other?
editFor this project, the best would be talk directly with the concerned people, meaning conferences would be the better way to focus students and farmers on the advantages of the Organization
What are some reasons this group would use Wikipedia? How would they benefit from it, or what would they find useful?
editWikipedia by its extension can be use in Benin's school as a documentary database for learning. Also Wikipedia by its agricultural contents can come in help to certains farmers in their works. In conclusion it can be used to develop many sectors in Benin.
Project idea
editWhat language Wikipedia projects will you promote to new readers?
editEnglish, French
How will you communicate with new readers? Will you be communicating with them online, in-person, or both?
editI think both because we need sometimes a 'porte-à-porte' to develop these projects
Describe your idea to engage new readers. How might it be implemented? What will you tell people about Wikipedia?
editThink about the steps that might involved to make this idea happen, and what you might teach people about your experience or others' experiences using Wikipedia.
First they should 'talking about the readers' what is Wikipedia and what are its advantages
How will you know if this project is successful? What are some outcomes that you can share after the project is completed?
editIf you’re not certain about how to respond to this question when starting your idea, you do not need to answer it right now. Campaign participants and Wikimedia Foundation staff can help you consider some options.
NTIC in French Nouvelles Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication are today an unavoidable way to develop African countries. So I guess the project would be a succes
Do you think you can implement this idea? What support do you need?
editDo you need people with specific skills or resources to complete this idea? Are there any financial needs for this project? Do you need advising from Wikimedia Foundation staff?
First of all, there isn't in Benin, I think till today any Wikimediafoundation Center. We need advising from Wikimedia Foundation staff and also financial needs to establish a Center in Benin for it should be well-known
