Purpose of the reportEdit
This form is for organizations receiving Annual Plan Grants to report on their results to date. For progress reports, the time period for this report will the first 6 months of each grant (e.g. 1 January - 30 June of the current year). For impact reports, the time period for this report will be the full 12 months of this grant, including the period already reported on in the progress report (e.g. 1 January - 31 December of the current year). This form includes four sections, addressing global metrics, program stories, financial information, and compliance. Please contact APG/FDC staff if you have questions about this form, or concerns submitting it by the deadline. After submitting the form, organizations will also meet with APG staff to discuss their progress.

Telling your program stories - all programsEdit
Please tell the story of each of your programs included in your proposal. This is your chance to tell your story by using any additional metrics (beyond global metrics) that are relevant to your context, beyond the global metrics above. You should be reporting against the targets you set at the beginning of the year throughout the year. We have provided a template here below for you to report against your targets, but you are welcome to include this information in another way. Also, if you decided not to do a program that was included in your proposal or added a program not in the proposal, please explain this change. Goal: Introducing Wiki-projects to academic circles
Description: Students write their papers on Wikipedia or other Wiki projects, and in return receive points within their subject exams in school or university.

Description: project involves organization of accredited seminars Application of online wiki tools as a didactic means in teaching throughout Serbia. The seminars are accredited by the Institute for Advancement of Education (State Institute for professional development of the teachers) and teachers gain 8 points for professional development by attending it. These seminars are all-day workshop on how to edit Wikipedia and implement it in class. The seminars are designed exclusively for teachers.
Edu Wiki camp
Goal: recruiting new Wiki ambassadors and education volunteers and strengthening connections between them
Description: This camp is organized as a part of the Education Program, and its purposes are attracting new Wiki ambassadors, additional training of current ones, as well as strengthening the network of education volunteers. Camp program has many different topics, which involves editing Wikipedia training, manners of cooperation with educational institutions, technical skills regarding realization of Education Program etc.
Overview of realized projectsEdit
Throughout 2018, Wikimedia Serbia has achieved significant results within the Education Program, especially regarding the number of participants in projects. During the past year, in total 1531 persons took part in all our projects combined, which makes the highest number so far.
Wikipedia in Schools
The Wikipedia in Schools project consists of Wiki-Scholar, Wiki-Pupil and Wiki-Student, as well as other activities in educational institutions, and it involves the training of primary, secondary and high school students to write their seminar papers on Wikipedia. Due to the nature of the project, activities included the first semester of the school year 2017/18 (January), second semester of school year 2017/18 and a part of the first semester of the school year 2018/19 (September - December 2018).
During the first half of 2018, Wikimedia Serbia renewed cooperation with elementary schools on the project Wiki-Pupil, and also started the production of video tutorials for editing Serbian Wikipedia, as well as the Manual for Wiki ambassadors and Instructions for using the Dashboard in Serbian language. We have also established cooperation with several non-governmental organizations involved with the education of children and youth. Within the framework of the project "Wikipedia in Schools", 56 workshops were held. These workshops took place in 35 educational institutions with which we achieved cooperation in the course of 2018. Out of this figure, 5 collaborations were realized on the basis of accredited seminars, 2 collaborations were established by Wiki ambassadors, 7 others were initiated by Wikimedia Serbia, while the remaining ones were continued since previous years.
Work on Wikidata continued, and one partnership with educational institutions was realized within the Community Support Program, as they applied for an annual grant with educational activities. During 2018, we got three new Wiki ambassadors at the Faculty of Mathematics, the Faculty of Philology, and the Teacher Education Faculty of the University of Belgrade. The evaluation analysis filled out by the students who participated in the Wiki-Student project resulted in 69.7% of students evaluating the presentation and clarity of the presented topic as excellent.
All these results were presented at the conference New Technologies in Education in 2018 in Belgrade, Wikimedia Conference in Berlin, Wikipedia and Academia Conference in Dublin, at the CEE meeting in Lviv and at the local WikiLive conference, where we held a round table on the Education Program of Wikimedia Serbia. In 2018, Wikimedia Serbia received a new accreditation for the program of professional development of teachers. New accreditation for the "Application of Wiki Tools in Teaching and Learning" program will be valid for the next three school years, until August 31, 2021. Throughout the year, eleven seminars were held, attended by 223 teachers, with 217 articles written on Serbian Wikipedia. The seminars were held in four primary schools, four high schools, and three seminars were held in cooperation with the Institute for Modern Education, which gathered teachers from several schools from all over Serbia. Out of eleven seminars, four were held outside Belgrade. It should be mentioned that five seminars were held thanks to the recommendation of participants from previous seminars and at the initiative of schools.
After receiving the new accreditation, where we had even more active lecturers approved, we decided to redesign our seminars, and the changes were related to the planning and preparation of each individual seminar. We realized that it is necessary to make a better choice of the target group, so we have raised the criteria for participating in the seminar in terms of computer literacy, computer skills and digital competencies. For this purpose, we have created an "article preparation form" to help the participants be better prepared for the seminar. Out of the total number of participants, five teachers were interested in continuing cooperation with us on the Wikipedia in schools project.
The analysis of the evaluations filled out by the participants of the seminar according to the form obtained from the Institute for Improvement of Education and Upbringing, showed that the average grade of the seminar was 3.9/4.0. Participants were given the opportunity to evaluate the seminar on a scale from 0 to 4. On the other hand, 100% of the participants said that they would recommend our seminar to their colleagues.
Edu Wiki camp
The organizing of Edu Wiki camp in Sremski Karlovci with 13 participants involved numerous preparatory activities regarding the program and logistics. In addition to the presentations that were directly related to the program activities of Wikimedia Serbia, participants were trained in the design and writing of projects. Working in groups has enabled the strengthening of team spirit and understanding of the different environments where they come from. Together with jointly representing their designs of the projects, participants also improved their public appearance. They were given real challenges we face in educational projects, and they had the freedom to choose how to overcome those challenges. The joint work especially came to light during the World Cafe workshop, in which the groups dealt with the existing issues, presenting ideas for the launch of sustainable Wiki clubs at faculties and secondary schools, further decentralization of activities in other cities of Serbia, as well as the quality control of articles written by participants and students.
During their stay in Sremski Karlovci, participants wrote 13 new articles and had the opportunity to participate in photo-tours in the surrounding area, but also to visit the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. The Debate was a final event in which the two sides stood for and against the arguments of using Wikipedia as a teaching tool. It showed how much information the participants were able to learn during the five days spent in the working atmosphere in order to be able to discuss. Best speakers from both groups were awarded with Wiki T-shirts. At the end, the participants filled out the evaluation form. After the camp, some participants actively began to volunteer within the Education Program and so far have achieved good results in cooperation with the institutions for which they were trained.
I think that volunteering as a Wiki Ambassador is a great way to contribute to the goal I believe in.
I myself took on the task of establishing cooperation with professors from my faculty to bring Wikipedia closer to students.
Successful stories and lessons learnedEdit
We plan to work more actively with Wiki ambassadors and education volunteers in order to raise their motivation and interest in continuing to volunteer for Wikimedia Serbia. For this purpose we will work on their regular gatherings, organizing more team building activities, more regular meetings and constant engagement in various events. One of our goals is to increase the visibility of the Education Program through presence at various events and conferences in order to achieve more partnerships that can bring us new forms of cooperation. We will strive to attract even more faculties and secondary schools, initially from smaller towns, in order to expand the target group and present our projects in areas where people do not have the opportunity to participate often in projects like ours.
In order to more efficiently conduct workshops and cooperations after them, primarily writing articles on Wikipedia, we are planning to create a special section on our website for "Questions and Answers". This idea was conceived by analyzing the evaluations filled out by the students involved in the project of Wikipedia in schools. Namely, they pointed out that some things could have been done more efficiently if they could find some information on the technical aspects of article writing on the Wikimedia Serbia website. Since we know what are the most common questions the students have, we will enable them to find the answers to all the questions this way as well. In the course of 2019, we will strive to integrate Wikidata into the Education Program as much as possible. We are negotiating with two professors who are interested in training students to work on this Wiki project. The popularization of Wikidata will enable us to have more varied workshops and forms of cooperation.
|Wiki Loves GLAMers
Goal: Achieving and maintaining cooperation with cultural institutions in order to increase free knowledge and enable and enhance the accessibility to the cultural and historic heritage online, on wiki projects
Description: Content release by GLAM institutions, organization of seminars on implementation of wiki projects in culture, realization of editing workshops on Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and other wiki projects, as well as organizing edit-a-thons.
Wikipedian in Residence
Goal: Establishing various forms of cooperation with the cultural institutions, digitizing certain works, releasing them and educating employees on the application of wiki projects in culture.
Description: Engaging skilful Wikipedians in cultural institutions, where they will perform digitization, upload free content to corresponding wiki projects, create content on Wikipedia based on available sources in the institution, organise workshops on editing Wikipedia, promote the mission of Wikimedia among the employees etc.
Goal: Increasing the content on Wikipedia about certain subjects, in cooperation with cultural institutions which would provide high quality sources for creating articles.
Description: Volunteers and employees of cultural institutions join together to create content on specific subject on Wikipedia during one day or more. Cultural institutions provide high quality sources for writing articles and release material for their illustration.
Goal: Inspiring librarians to become successful Wikipedia editors, supporting the enlargement of the network of librarians and other cultural institutions, as well as getting them to know about the activities of Wikimedia Serbia, and uploading high quality and informative content on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.
Description: Organising workshops of editing Wikipedia intended for librarians, who receive the legally required points for promotion in the librarian activities for the successfully attained course.
Outcome of realized projectsEdit
Wiki Loves GLAMers - Within the framework of the GLAM program, Wikimedia Serbia has maintained the successful cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, that provided funds for the implementation of three Wikipedian in Residence programs. Under the auspices of the Ministry, two GLAM seminars were held for representatives of museums, archives, libraries and other institutions, one of which was realized in cooperation with the Museum of Vojvodina, which is responsible for all museums in this province. This seminar was attended by representatives of 21 institutions of culture in Vojvodina, or about 40 cultural workers in museums, galleries and other cultural institutions of this province, including directors and managers. The next one was an advanced workshop on editing Wikipedia and it was attended by 40 participants, who rated the seminar with the highest marks.
Wikipedian in Residence program - after several years of slow progress, we have experienced full expansion this year thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture, and residencies have been realized with the full engagement of the GLAM capacity of Wikimedia Serbia.

The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia financed three of these programs lasting two months (the Museum of Yugoslavia, the Museum of Vojvodina, the Historical Archives in Pirot), while Wikimedia Serbia financed the remaining one-month programs (of which one program was extended for another month, from the budget for 2019).
Seven people were engaged in residencies, of which three were from the wiki community, and four were chosen through an open call for Wikipedians in residence.
The Wiki team Trstenik project was realized. Secondary school pupils from the cities of Trstenik, Vrnjačka Banja, Kraljevo, Kruševac and Rekovac participated in the editing workshops of Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, and then wrote and improved articles on the cultural heritage of this region and uploaded images previously released by the Homeland Museum in Trstenik (National University). In the continuation of the project, an additional editing workshop was held, and the project team continued to digitize and upload images of museum collections to Wikimedia Commons until the end of the year.
The National Museum in Zrenjanin successfully, professionally and responsibly worked on its digitization project for museum collections. In total, they have digitized 167 photographs and postcards and uploaded them to Wikimedia Commons.
The project Wiki loves Local Museums was joined with the Wikimedians in decentralization project, so the project leader spent five days at the Museum of Slovaks in Vojvodina in Bački Petrovac, working as a Wikipedian in Residence on a smaller scale. He uploaded 65 photographs to Wikimedia Commons freed by the Museum, and created another 95 photographs of Bački Petrovac and its surroundings. An article about the museum was also written, and two articles have been improved with the literature available in this institution. The usage of images on wiki projects is 35%, and 101 wiki pages contain some of the freed or created illustrations.
The annual edit-a-thon on Pantomime was held as a part of the First World Conference on Pantomime and brought 27 articles to Serbian Wikipedia and eight articles to Macedonian Wikipedia. In addition, for the first time, the famous world mime artists were photographed for the Wikimedia Commons.
As part of the residency at the Republic Institute for the Protection of Monuments in Belgrade, an edit-a-thon on the historical heritage was held, where employees of the Institute and volunteers of Wikimedia Serbia wrote 26 new articles in Serbian Wikipedia.
Within the project Wiki Librarian, cooperation was realized with 7 cities and 31 institutions throughout Serbia. There were 20 workshops with a total of 150 participants and 1825 pages created on wiki projects. Twelve publications were digitized and uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. For the first time, #1Lib1Ref campaign was organised in Serbia. With a total of 786 references, Serbia ranked fourth in the world, and the milestone 10-thousandth reference in the entire campaign was added on Serbian Wikipedia.
During the WikiLive Conference 2018, a panel discussion was held with partners from cultural institutions. Representatives of the University Library, the National Library, the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Museum of Yugoslavia, the Regional Museum of Trstenik, the Historical Archive of Pančevo, as well as the GLAM volunteers and former residents, helped to locate the most common problems, as well as the advantages in working with cultural institutions. A similar discussion was also organized with former Wikipedians in Residence in order to share their experiences with new candidates for this position.
Wikimedia Serbia has been regularly reporting about all GLAM activities to the Global Wiki Community in This month in GLAM.
Wikimedia Serbia published 15 articles on GLAM activities and accomplishments on the website and blog of the organization (shared with members of Wiki community through the internal mailing list as well as on social networks).
In order for cultural heritage to be protected, the main postulate is to make it accessible and to let the people know of its existence and its value.
It is important that employees in cultural institutions as well as their associates understand that they need to share information, knowledge, images of museum exhibits...
What we have seen as a problem is the small degree of visibility of our country's cultural heritage on the Internet, and fortunately the Wikipedian in Residence program can help improve that.
Successful stories and lessons learnedEdit
Wikipedian in Residence
Residence programs will continue to be the focus of GLAM. As they have proven to be very successful, Wikimedia Serbia will continue to give its greatest attention to this project. Given that there is a certain experience in the implementation of the program, and that the team of residents who perform this task is responsible, the capacities of the employees in the coming period can be relieved in this field. In this way, it is possible to redirect to the development of other forms of GLAM cooperation or to strengthen old partnerships through new activities, such as edit-a-thons, photo tours, GLAM seminars etc.
Our new project Heritage of the Southeast aims to increase decentralization of GLAM, but also give support to the community member leading the project to actively engage in this program and establish himself as a significant GLAM volunteer.
Continuation of cooperation with the Museum of Slovaks in Vojvodina, which will be realized through the residence program, should bring 5000 files to Wikimedia Commons, which will be the first museum in Serbia to provide its complete collections under free license.
In addition, projects that have so far been successful, such as Wiki Librarian and Digitization of collections of the National Museum in Zrenjanin will be continued.
Goal: Enabling members of Serbian Wikipedia community to get to know each other, networking and strengthening the connections between them by team problem solving and new project creation.
Description: WikiLive is a local annual Wikipedian conference, which is conceived with the idea of strengthening the spirit of the community, interconnecting participants and involving them in the WMRS programs. The conference consists of a two-day program covering various topics from Wikipedia.
Competition on Wikipedia
Goal: Increasing the motivation and active participation of the community in Wiki projects.
Description: Contests on Wikipedia are organized several times a year. They usually last for a month (except CEE Spring) during which participants write and improve articles on various topics. Members of the jury evaluate the articles, after which winners are proclaimed and rewarded. Contests are a good way to reduce the gap between Wikimedians and Wikipedians.
Goal: Establishing better communication with the community and reducing the gap between Wikipedians and Wikimedians.
Description: Within the project, activities such as community gatherings, microgrants, organization of Wiki stand at public events, birthday celebrations, support for individuals in relation to the realization of activities and informing the community about various events through various communication channels are being realized.
Outcomes of realized projectsEdit
Since the volunteer community of Wikimedia Serbia is diverse, the Community Support Program has different target groups and accordingly various activities are carried out. One of the most important events that occurred during the first half of 2018 is definitely WikiLive Conference. WikiLive is a local conference of Wikipedians who contribute to Serbian Wikipedia. The gathering was organized with the idea to connect editors, strengthen the community and inform about current issues and problems on Wikipedia. This year, the conference brought together over a hundred editors of Wikipedia, online and offline volunteers who wanted to share their knowledge and hear something interesting from their peers. One of the new additions was also the call for community members to participate with the topics they wanted to present at the conference.
The conference itself had a two-day formal part that was full of various workshops and lectures. In addition to typical presentations, the program was enriched with interesting workshops in order to activate the participants. Unlike previous years, this year there were several parallel sessions, so the participants had a greater choice. The sessions that made the conference program had two goals. One was to provide as much information as possible to the audience both on current happenings on Wikipedia and on the activities of Wikimedia Serbia. The second objective was to enhance the involvement of participants in current projects and obtaining of feedback. The puzzle statuette for the Branislav Jovanović Award was created. Several candidates were nominated and a longtime Wikipedian Dražen Dražeta won. Soon after the conference, everything was presented in a blog post that was shared with the community. Article writing contests on Wikipedia - During the year 2018, three competitions were held on Serbian Wikipedia, organized by Wikimedia Serbia. During the three competitions (CEE Spring 2018, Africa, Music), 1200 articles were written and improved by 41 participants. In addition to this number, 17 other editors did not compete, but they supported the contest through writing and improving articles on given topics. There is still a problem that for new users this is not an attractive project, as they are often demotivated by experienced editors. Within the contest, we have organised edit-a-thons that aimed to gather the contestants and create a good competitive atmosphere, but the response of the participants was not satisfactory. On the other hand, edit-a-thons enabled cooperation with the Museum of African Art and 238 images were uploaded during a photo tour in the Museum. The challenge we are facing is that some contestants prepare their articles a few days before the contest starts, which gives them an edge over those who join later. As a potential solution, the topic can be unannounced until the beginning of the contest. This, on the other hand, has some additional challenges in attracting editors and promotion.
Community motivation involves the allocation of microgrants, organization of meet-ups and celebrations, Wiki stands, edit-a-thons, and projects of individuals that significantly contribute to Wiki projects.
- Micro-grants - During the year, Wikimedia Serbia has awarded six micro-grants to applicants with the idea of creating and collecting free content. These six projects resulted in 3968 images and 577 articles. There is a noticeable increase in the number of articles compared to previous years. From 2014 to 2018, a total of 20569 images and video material were collected through the microgrant allocation process, and 1044 articles were written and improved. In the previous two years there has been a decline in the number of multimedia material, but the number of articles has doubled. At the very beginning of the project in 2014, the results were not promising. By introducing project-based consultation, by improving the project submission form, as well as establishing a committee for project selection and ranking, it has largely helped to attract the right target audience and achieve common goals. Applicants have a better understanding of the wiki projects and free content. The quality of the proposals is much better compared to 2014 when microgrants were launched. The greatest significance of these funds is that volunteers submit annual projects or continue minor projects within the framework of microgrants.

- Projects that significantly contribute to wiki projects - In the course of 2018, three projects were successfully realized by volunteers who are already experienced in the implementation of wiki activities. Meet Fruška Gora, On the border of Pannonia and Dinarides, and Roadside Memorials and Tombstones in Serbia resulted in 9603 images and 364 articles. Their uniqueness lies in the fact that they are realized by individuals who are very active members of the community, and they manage to pass their passion on wiki projects and share them with people of similar interest in Serbia. Since the scope of each project is specific (churches and monasteries of Fruška Gora, natural features of Pannonia and Dinarides, tombstones and monuments), Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons have received images of natural and cultural heritage that were otherwise not available to the general public, even though they are of great importance for Serbian culture and history.

For the third year I have visited locations from Rudnik to Javor, working on the project "Tombstones and Roadside Memorials". So far, I have published over 4000 photos on Wikimedia Commons. I will try to cover all segments related to this inexhaustible subject in Wikipedia - the social history of villages, customs, typology of monuments, symbolism and ornaments, folk costume and uniform, lexicon and phonetics. I know this is a great venture, but I receive great support and help from the community. - Meet-ups and celebrations - In 2018, three birthday celebrations were organized - celebration honoring 17 years of English Wikipedia, the 15th anniversary of Serbian Wikipedia and 13th anniversary of the founding of Wikimedia Serbia. The most significant one is 15 years of Serbian Wikipedia, which we celebrated together with volunteers and associates. For this occasion, we also had a global campaign where Wikimedians and Wikipedians from all over the world sent us their greetings. In addition to the celebrations, we organized five informal gatherings at the Wikimedia Serbia office and one in the Museum of Illusions. At the meet-ups we talked about various topics regarding Wikipedia and the upcoming activities, and we also organised a quiz.
- Edit-a-thons are often associated with the GLAM program, but they are a good type of gathering for community members. The first in the series was the edit-a-thon within the global campaign WikiGap, which had the goal of increasing the visibility of notable women on Wikipedia. Through the organization of edit-a-thons in more than 40 countries, the embassies of Sweden and the Wikimedia chapters have worked to increase the visibility of notable women. In Serbia, the event was held in the Serbian-Korean Information Access Center on March 7th. It was attended by 25 participants who wrote and improved 45 articles. Students from the Department of Swedish Language at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade also participated in the event. The edit-a-thon was broadcast in the media, and the Swedish ambassador and the Minister of state administration addressed the event. The impressions were summarized in a blog post. After the edit-a-thon, a cocktail was organized to invite the women whom the participants wrote the articles about. Thus, photo materials were also collected to illustrate the articles. The images are available on Wikimedia Commons. Wiki loves Pride - During these activities, both Pride events were photographed - one in June, another one in September. In cooperation with the organization Civil Rights defenders, the Association of Pride Parade Belgrade, the association Let it be known! and Youth Initiative for Human Rights, we have organized an edit-a-thon. In total, we had 14 participants, of which 9 were present in the Pride info center, while five were online. Within the event, we also held a presentation on editing Wikipedia for those who have not edited before. In total, 32 articles were written and 218 images were collected. The results were shared with the global community. In April, another edit-a-thon was organized on the occasion of Earth Day. It took place at the premises of the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia, and the participants were students of the Faculty of Security. On that occasion, 13 articles were written.
- Annual grants - during the third quarter, a public call for annual projects was organized and announced. There were 15 proposals submitted, and 6 of them were accepted. It is commendable that, year after year, the quality of the proposals has increased, and most projects have similar or same goals as Wikimedia Serbia. The accepted proposals are included in the annual plan of Wikimedia Serbia: Šumadija on the palm of our hand, Olympic sports through history, The continuation of the digitization project in the National Museum of Zrenjanin, the Heritage of the Southeast, Wiki Librarians, Tombstones and Roadside Memorials of Serbia.
- Monthly news - as before, each month the community receives monthly newsletter of activities to get an insight into the results achieved, as well as the next actions they can take part in.
- Wiki Stand was designed with the goal of promoting the Wiki mission and working on Wikipedia in general. It is realized through the placement of a branded stand in frequently visited public places, and most often within popular manifestations. The Wiki Stand was set on the Green Festival, as well as at the faculties in Belgrade and Kragujevac.
- International conferences serve to present successful stories from our chapter, as well as to share experiences with communities from around the world. Representatives of Wikimedia Serbia participated at the Wikimedia conference (Berlin, Germany), Wikimania (Cape Town, South Africa), the Wikipedia for Peace conference (Stockholm, Sweden), the Academia and Wikipedia conference (Dublin, Ireland), the CEE Conference (Lviv, Ukraine), the 15th birthday celebration of Romanian Wikipedia (Bucharest, Romania) and the Volunteer Supporters Network meeting (Vienna, Austria).
- Featured and great articles - We have been working on increasing quality this year, which is shown by the 9 featured and 8 great articles that were created within the activities of Wikimedia Serbia. Articles have been written and improved during competitions, internship programs and community support.
Successful stories and lessons learnedEdit
In the next year, within these activities, we will organize the local WikiLive conference, article writing contests on Wikipedia and numerous support activities such as the allocation of microgrants, providing support to individuals, organizing Wiki stands etc.
An important part of the project is to provide support to the community in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. In that regard, Wikimedia Serbia will be organizing the CEE conference in 2019. This is very important since we want greater connectivity and networking with the global community, especially with the CEE region.
This year in media traditionally began with the news on the English Wikipedia birthday, which is celebrated in January. This time, 26 posts were found on this topic, but the media also talked about the fact that Serbia was the first by the number of edits on Wikipedia.
In February, we witnessed the publications about the jubilee of Serbian Wikipedia. To celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the creation of Wikipedia in this language, the media has published 62 posts.
Wiki Gap edit-a-thon also caused great media attention and 22 posts were recorded, and in the same month, the edit-a-thon on pantomime was also mentioned. Our Education Program was mentioned four times, and in particular the interview on TV N1 on this occasion.
The media reported eight times on the annual Wikipedian conference WikiLive, of which the most valued one was the Radio Television of Serbia report.
Cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information in organizing workshops for cultural institutions drew attention of media in Vojvodina as well as others, and GLAM was also in the media focus when a student camp at the Regional Museum of Trstenik was realized.
Especially interesting was the participation of one of the Edu Wiki Camp students in popular program Žikina šarenica. This news has been published by numerous web portals - Naslovi.net, Vesti Vranje, Jugmedia.rs, RTV Ritam and many others.
Aleksandar Savić was a guest in talk show Uhvati dan at Radio Belgrade 1, where he talked about the Wiki Loves Pride edit-a-thon.
The National Gazette wrote about the article writing contest on Wikipedia on the topic of Africa, which was organized from September 1st to September 30th.
At the end of the year, when the residence program was promoted, we focused the media attention on GLAM activities, of which the daily newspaper Politika could be emphasised.
Wikipedia in general has been mentioned 335 times in the media, but global developments have also been in focus, such as donations to the movement, protests against the new EU copyright directive, the disapproval of Wikipedia in the Montenegrin language etc.

As before, the focus of the Board in terms of human capacity is quality, not quantity. Meetings were held once a month, during which the current projects and co-operations were discussed and guidelines that the organization maintained were chosen. During these meetings, 21 resolutions were made concerning financial and administrative matters, as well as business trips and rewards. In addition to these, several decisions were made that were significant, but until now there was no practice of their official recording. For this reason, at the end of 2018, recording of such decisions was initiated.

- Global metrics are an important starting point for grantees when it comes to measuring programmatic impact (Learning Patterns and Tutorial) but don’t stop there.
- Logic Models provide a framework for mapping your pathway to impact through the cause and effect chain from inputs to outputs to outcomes. Develop a logic model to map out your theory of change and determine the metrics and measures for your programs.
- Importantly, both qualitative and quantitative measures are important so consider both as you determine measures for your evaluation and be sure to ask the right questions to be sure to capture your program stories.
