A women outreach workshop by the name - Women for Wikipedia was organised at IITM on March 31st, 2013 . The details of the events are here .

Proposed outreach activities

• Basic workshop at Women's Arts Colleges: No date has been set yet. Expecting to conduct a workshop within this month end - Nappinnai (talk)

• Workshop targeting IT Women Employees: We are trying to get contacts with women groups working in IT sector. Nappinnai (talk)

• Other Targets: Workshops will be taken forward to others like Women academicians, Bloggers, Journalists, doctors, lawyers.Nappinnai (talk)

• Tamil Wikipedia: In all the workshops a separate slot to promote editing in regional languages like tamil will be done.Nappinnai (talk)

• Advanced workshop: Women Issue based workshop will be conducted. Making women get exposure to photography and wiki commons contributions. Nappinnai (talk)
