This is a very good and clean image, however it seems to have a North American focus on the globe. This risks alienating people from other continents, particularly Asia, Australia, and everything else on the other side of the globe. As such I don't think this is an "International" logo as such. That said, it could modified to show other continents based on which Wikipedia it's present on. It's very clean and professional and I like the images in the background. Make it more "international" and I think it would be a good contender. Neolux 21:26 31 Jul 2003 (UTC)

How is he supposed to show the whole world at the same time? Unless he uses a Mercator projection. Hey, that's not a bad idea...however, World Book already uses that logo I think. 129.97.90.101 21:42 31 Jul 2003 (UTC)

HAHA! you beat me to it (user:129.97xxx) How exactly a whole globe can be seen from a single pov has been a mystery for hundreds of years. Unfortunately some of the various methods are proprietary. -- Suggestions? Truth be told -- Im just submitting this to give people ideas. :) -Stevertigo

Put a big mirror on the other side ;) --Head

HA! --Maybe it doesnt have to be a spread -map . Maybe we can do something like http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/geology/anim1.html -- and go back to the pre-cambrian era. -Stevertigo

You can't really use a picture of the earth as a logo...it's just an earth, nothing to do with an encyclopedia.

look closer there is a black goat or a ram near spain. what's going on here? where did you find this? this is subliminal and dangerous. it's scarying me. -k
