English: Barking dog reaction
A long glass tube, soaked at one end, is filled with nitrogen suboxide. A small amount of carbon disulfide is added to the tube immediately before performing the experiment, it is stirred by inverting the tube several times (while CS2 also evaporates) and ignites. There is a sound that is close to barking! It is a specific explosion that spreads through the tube like a wave, emitting a characteristic sound: CS2(g) + 6N2O(g) = CO2(g) + 2SO2(g) + 6N2(g) Performed by the student Mihail Trajkov. The planning of the experiment also included the retired Prof. PhD Vladimir Petruševski, the Prof. PhD Miha Bukleski and the student Darko Stojčev, Department of Chemistry, FNSM, Ss. Долга стаклена цевка, затопена на едниот крај, се полни со азот субоксид. Во цевката непосредно пред изведување на опитот се додава мало количество јаглерод дисулфид, се промешува со неколкукратно превртување на цевката (при ова и СЅ2 испарува) и се пали. Се слуша звук што прилега на лаење! Се работи за специфична експлозија која се шири низ цевката како бран, емитирајќи карактеристичен звук: CS2(g) + 6N2O(g) = CO2(g) + 2SO2(g) + 6N2(g) Изведено од студентот Михаил Трајков. Во планирањето на опитот, исто така беа вклучени пензионираниот Проф. д-р Владимир Петрушевски, Проф. д-р Миха Буклески, и студентот Дарко Стојчев, Институт за хемија, ПМФ, УКИМ, Скопје, Македонија. |
