Editing Days

On the second day of the month, Tectonic Plates was on and four articles were created by one user. On 7th, the Metro Systems ED was organized which resulted with three new articles by one participant. Again at fine arts, Paintings by Raphael was scheduled on 9th, which was an edition that produced nine new articles out of three Wikipedians. Five days later, it was a day for the topic Grammatical cases that got summarized with 2 new articles by one man. Next ED, being Cultural Heritage in Mavrovo and Rostuše, got participated by one person who created ten brand new articles. Then on 21th, Works by Maxim Gorky got realized and attracted two users who made four new articles. Roman Legions was participated by two Wikipedians and it ended with six new articles. The last editing day, on 28th, was on the subject Sculptures by Michelangelo and got 11 newly established articles and one new template by three men.

The outcome in February was 40 new articles and 1 created template.

Editing Weekends

At the first February EW, Directors was held and attracted three men that made 20 new articles. Then it was Websites and it was attended by three users who contributed with seven new articles. The Clothing EW attracted one person who contributed by editing 13 new articles and one new template. The last weekend was 'busy' with the topic Islands that got participated by three users, covering 20 new articles and one new template.

The outcome in February was 60 new articles and two created templates.

WikiVillage

The project was initiated in this month. This year's QR-pedization will cover the village of Vevčani. It started with editing articles on the Macedonian-language Wikipedia. On February 10, six articles were improved. On 28th, four more articles got improved while one got created.

From January 15 to February 5, just like in the previous two years, we organized this special editing contest. There were three competitors who participated in this contest and added 874 references in 715 different (improved) articles. The top two participants qualified and got prized based on their contribution of added references and covered articles.

Studenst Mentorships

On February 6, from 8:10 a.m. to 10 a.m., we were visited by the two activists Nikola Miloševski and Dragana Niseva held a lecture + workshop at the American High School Skopje. The two activists then gave a lecture about Wikipedia and had a workshop with the 23 students and their teacher + plus the teachers coordinator. During the first hour, the training or lecture consisted of an introduction to Wikipedia, a brief history of Wikipedia and Shared Knowledge, lessons on editing Wikipedia in order for the attendees to acquire Wikipedia editing skills. The second hour was about holding a workshop where participants created their own user profiles and translated already existing articles from the English Wikipedia. The translated articles were of the students' personal choice. Of the 23 students, 19 of them created user accounts and 12 articles were created. On the 13th, a student who created a user account on the workshop, posted a new article.

On February 27th, from 10 am to 11 am, we held lectures and introduction about Wikimedia projects on Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology students and staff. The lecture was held at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Skopje, Macedonia. 12 people were part of it, of which three staff members, eight students, and one activist of Shared Knowledge who held the lecture. Out of these 12 people, 8 were new.

Exhibitions

The editing efforts continued as a preparation of the exhibit. On February 1, 4 articles were created and three articles were improved; on the Feb 2nd, five articles were created and one article was improved; on the Feb 7th and 8th one article each was created. On 13th, two articles were improved. The following day four articles were improved. On the 15th, three articles were improved. Three more articles were improved on 16th. The last improved article was on February 17th.

On February 17, together with the Slovenian Center Skopje, we opened the Slovenia Exhibition. Then we showed 33 photos that showed prominent people from Slovenia, architecture, cities, nature. The opening was attended by 56 people, among whom was Deputy Ambassador Tatjana Kovačič of Slovenia, who, together with the organizers, gave a speech.

Several days later, the professors of the Vasil Antevski Dren High School, a school who also contributed on the exhibit's opening day, lead a tour of their students as a type on an excursion trip. A total of 31 people were present.

The total outcome in February was 87 people, 11 created articles and 17 improved articles.

Before the exhibition's opening, several sites announced the upcoming contest including: Mia.mk, Umno.mk, Opserver.mk, Nezavisen.mk. Also, some sites published about the exhibition after the opening such as: Mia.mk, Mkd.mk

Wikiexperiments

On February 13, from 10 am to 1:30 pm, we were again at the Institute of Chemistry where we recorded 18 chemical experiments. The experiments were planned and performed by the retired Prof. PhD- Vladimir Petrushevski, the Prof. PhD Miha Bukleski, and the students Mihail Trajkov and Darko Stojčev.

On February 21, the editing of articles began which was related to the filming. Four articles were created and five articles were improved that day. On the 22nd, ten articles were created, four articles were improved, and four templates were created. The following day, one article was created, three articles were improved, and four templates were created.

The final editing outcome in this month is 15 new articles, 12 improved articles, and eight new templates.
