Reading a page and connecting things

Abstract/description

An analysis of what pages can contain that can help understand extra information about a page in english wikipedia. Also extra methods to ascertain the context of any page within larger contexts.

With special attention to the implications in understanding approaches to diversity in wikipedia.

• At the end of the session, participants will have learned details of information either related to or connected directly to other projects, from one english wikipedia page

• After the session, the participant will have a better understanding of the connectedness of an english wikipedia page and be able to edit in related projects

Relationship to Wiki skills or to the theme

The participant would gain: -

The capacity to read and edit between english wikipedia, Commons and Wikidata, and understand the inter-relatedness of the conections.
