This is the first online Consultation of the Event Invitations with Wikimedia affiliates and local organizers running events in February through March 2024. This session shares information about Event invitations and why it is important for the Wikimedia movement to participate in the design process through tool testing. Participants would learn about:

• The goal of participation in Event invitations
• How they can participate and the support for participation
• Next steps and guidelines for taking them

Participants would also have the opportunity to ask questions about the Event Registration tool and get support on the tool use where they need.

Session outcomes

• The Organizers confirms participants who wish to participate in the Event invitations testing
• Interested participants understand the recommended guidelines for creating article lists for their events benefiting from event invitations
• Interested participants learn about the next steps in preparation for the second session.
• Participants join the Event Organizers telegram group
