Wikisource
Jayanta Nath presented "Best practices of the Indic Wikisource community"
Ideally, Wikisource works like this: Get a scanned book > Upload on Commons > Transcribe the text on Wikisource > Export to read on E-readers. But sometimes, people directly copy paste texts (novels, stories, anything) from other websites. Rather than going through the ideal way. Scans are important because they serve as a reference on Wikisource.

Tom and Leo raised issues of minority languages/scripts in ESEAP region that are missing from Wikisource

Possible grant proposal for ESEAP region - identify missing or poor OCR from our region, and request partners to assist.

Leo suggests: I think the best thing we can do is to build up a labelled dataset and open source it, perhaps start a competition, research isn't necessarily Wiki community's strongest suit
