Description - The "Wikiconcurso Arquivo Nacional" is a wiki-contest on the Portuguese Wikipedia. It is part of a series of activities throughout this year of 2020 conducted in collaboration by the Wiki Movement Brazil User Group and the Brazilian National Archives. The wiki-contest aims to stimulate the participation of the community of Wikipedia editors and publishers in improving the entries related to the Brazilian National Archives GLAM intiative, which has been taking place since 2016. We have an already running site notice use regarding "CentralNotice/Request/Wikiconcurso Museu Paulista", but now this one (older) can be stopped and finished. Please, just let me know if everything is ok and, if that's true, pls, turn on the site notice with our newer wikicontest banner. Sturm (talk) 19:23, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

I switched on the new one (lang-targeted on pt and pt-br and geotargeted on BR) and switched off the old one. I hope it works, maybe a more experienced CN admin will check everything later -- Ата ^(talk) 19:27, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Well, since you ask.... :)

What is a reason to use the Central Notice, when only targetting the Portuguese Wikipedia? Why not use the Site Notice (the Mediawiki extension on the local project) instead? (see CentralNotice/Usage guidelines)

Why are not logged in users being targetted, what is the specific reason for this? (see CentralNotice/Usage guidelines)

@Ата: You left the boxes for all the different devices checked: did you preview the banner on iphone/android phone/ipad/...?

Ahem, this is a weird request, you know. I guess I can set the June 25th as the end day now and then change this later. However, Sturm, as I cannot guarantee that I will be around to put the banner back, I'd rather not do it. I hope there are alternatives I don't know of. -- Ата ^(talk) 19:35, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
