Discussion edit

Hello,

Please could you take a look at our banner request and confirm if the content is correct? We would appreciate your support with publishing it next week. It was actually suppose to be publish by this week (12th August) but I guess we are running late and sorry about that. @Ciell:, @DerHexer:, @Romaine:, @Steinsplitter:, @Martin Urbanec: Thanks, Ptinphusmia (talk) 17:08, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ptinphusmia, please fill in the missing information for the targetting in the template: which project(s) and what language(s). I see on your meta page you have a limited number of countries participating: I'd like to propose to target them specifically, and not all countries in the world if that's okay. For the banner the logo is perfectly fine: can you also give me one or maybe two line of text with max. 50-70 characters? Ciell (talk) 02:50, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @Ciell for your response. I have responded to all your questions in the template. Please let me know if there's anything I missed or any additional information you would love to have. Ptinphusmia (talk) 19:03, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Ptinphusmia, I'd love to create the campaign for you, but a few more questions:
  • I read on the landing page that the International Youth Day was on August 12, so last week? Is it over now?
  • If yes: I notice that in the banner text you want to invite people to join in the International Youth Month. Maybe you have a more specific page that we can link to from the banner? With every step people have to do to get to the information you want them to read, you will lose engagement, so it is best to be as specific as possible.
  • Some of the countries you would like the banner to be active in are also running a Wiki Loves Monuments banner - you can reach out to the organizers of the national Wiki Loves Monuments campaign (list of names and contacts is here on Commons), and see if you both can find some consensus for the banner space. We cannot show two banners at once, but we can implement a diet that allows for alternating banners for instance. Ciell (talk) 18:48, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Ciell! Thanks for reaching out. Apologies for the late response. The campaign is not over yet even though the meta page stated 12th August. Most communities will be running their local events starting this week into probably September due to delay in grant approval. This was put into consideration in making it a month-long event. But this came after we had created the meta page you saw. Prior to now, there have been other events in preparation for the local events. The landing page you saw is the page in use. This said, please know that I'm open to suggestions on how best we can move forward. Ptinphusmia (talk) 20:10, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
