Category redirect is a feature in MediaWiki requested by bug 3311; it was implemented after rev:46706 ([1]) and then reverted.
Examples
editcategory:redirect demo redirects to category:redirect demo 1. The page category redirect demo page containing the wiki-text [[catoegory:redirect demo]] should be automatically listed in category:redirect demo 1.
