WikiConverse India Calls is to improve collaboration among communities in India. WikiConverse India aims to initiate and foster dialogue within the Indic language Wikimedia community on various topics that are important for the growth of the Wikimedia movement. Currently, we are conducting regular calls as part of this initiative.

Access to Knowledge team initiated WikiConverse India to foster dialogue within Indic language community. First ever call happened in June 2023. Currently, A2K is aspiring to conduct regular calls as part of this initiative.

Volunteers and experts contribute by sharing their insights, experiences, and expertise on topics of interest. By leveraging the collective wisdom of the community, individuals can access valuable information and learn from the experiences of others.
- Empowering Communities: Through these conversations, WikiConverse India Calls aims to empower individuals and Indian communities by providing them with information that can help improve their Volunteer activity.
- Bridging the Gap: WikiConverse India Calls acts as a bridge between Wikimedia communities, fostering understanding and collaboration. Volunteers and speakers can gain insights into the challenges faced by and innovative activities taken up by Wikimedia communities, while participants can benefit from the speakers/expertise and experiences of their learnings.
How it Works edit
WikiConverse India Calls facilitates conversations through video calls.
- Participants can join the conversations by creating a Zoom link or accessing the web-based interface.
- Moderators facilitate the discussions, ensuring that everyone gets an opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions.
- The conversations are recorded, making them accessible to a wider audience and enabling individuals to revisit the discussions at their convenience.
