One Wikimedia tool or script will be displayed on this page daily from 15 August 2020 onward for next 30 days. 10 tools will be selected from Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource and Wikidata each, which are extremely useful for everyday editing. This initiative is intended not only to help new editors to familiarise with existing tools but also to help experienced editors recap.
The tool will also be featured from the official social media channels of CIS-A2K on the same day. You can keep an eye on these channels -

Add to Commons / Descriptive Claims or AC/DC is a javascript gadget which to add a collection of structured data statements to a set of files. The gadget adds a “AC/DC” link to the Tools section of the sidebar. Clicking it will open a input box where you can enter the names of the files or target category or Pagepile ID and what they depicts choosing from the items from Wikidata.

Computer-aided tagging is a new MediaWiki extension to add Structured Data on Commons which can be accessed and used from Special:SuggestedTags. On the back-end, the tool uses Google Cloud Vision for depicts suggestions. This tool is opt-in for registered and auto-confirmed users only and is unavailable to new and unregistered users. This feature prompts users with suggestions for "tags", using a computer vision model, for human review, which can be selected to be confirmed or ignored. Tags will never be automatically added without human involvement.

VisualFileChange is a javascript gadget which allows you to conduct a wide range of activity on Wikimedia Commons with just one click of a button. The script prompts to load and display files uploaded by certain users or under certain categories and gives you option to nominate them for deletion and add, remove or replace texts or tags. OTRS members can also add or remove relevant permission tags and admins can delete files using this script easily.

Author Disambiguator is a very handy tool which helps user to find possible items of authors which match particular author name strings. It lists works authored by that string and allow users to select those works to have the strings replaced by the items of the authors with their exact orders. It also allows to works to be moved to another author, replaced with the appropriate author name string value, if previously matched to the wrong author, rearrange the authors or a merge duplicate entries to merge. The tool also allow SPARQL based filters to apply.

Mix'n'match is a tool built byMagnus Manske to let you easily link Wikidata items with external databases. It contains over 3000 datasets and growing almost everyday, for any of which you are allowed to match with Wikidata items, which are then entered into Wikidata as statements with specific external identifier properties. You can also import new databases using the import tool; it is recommended however to create an external identifier property on Wikidata for your database first. You can even scrape websites using this feature.

Tabernacle is an editing tool built by the one and only Magnus Manske, which can help you edit Wikidata easily. You can create lists of Wikidata items manually or generate it from SPARQL queries or PagePiles. The tool will let you edit labels, descriptions, aliases, and properties from the list in a tabular form one at a time. The tool also enables you to remove wrong statements whenever you find it. This is not a batch editing tool, but this lets you check your desired list of Wikidata items at one place and let you edit from there.

PetScan (not at all to be confused with Positron emission tomography) is a powerful query tool built by the incredible Magnus Manske. it can generate lists of Wikimedia pages and Wikidata items which match a very wide range of criteria. If you want to get a list of pages in category trees, those which uses specific templates, links to or from specific pages or list generated from SPARQL queries or PagePile etc., or combine all of the criteria mentioned above, and want to get output in different formats, PetScan should be the tool of your choice. You can filter your results to different namespaces, bot or human edits, recent edits, page creation, etc. It is also possible to create items and statements on Wikidata in batches directly from this tool, which makes it even more powerful than just a query tool. QuickStatements (QS) is a powerful tool for Wikidata editors, which can edit items in batches based on simple set of text commands. - Description: Today, we will be featuring a different type of tool built by Stephen LaPorte and Mahmoud Hashemi in 2013, which lets you listen to the sound of the recent changes feed of Wikipedia and Wikidata. The sound of bells indicate addition of contents while string plucks indicate subtractions. Deeper notes come from larger edits. You can find green circles when edits are done by unregistered contributors and purple circles when done by automated bots. Clicking on the circles will lead you into the edits. Whenever new users join the site, you can instantly know by the sound of string swell, click on the blue banner to welcome them. - Description: Book Reader is a tool developed by User:Jayprakash12345, a volunteer developer from Indic-TechCom. The way PDF or DjVu files are displayed on Wikimedia sites are not much user-friendly for readers. This tool was created to overcome those challenges. - Description: OCR4Wikisource is a Python script which was developed by T. Shrinivasan et al during the early months of 2016. The script can help you OCR entire books using Google Drive API in batches directly from Wikisource by running a simple command. At the time, when Wikisource editors from India had to literally type entire books to proofread as OCR was not an option for them, this tool proved to be a game-changer for Bengali and Tamil Wikisource projects, which used the script extensively from 2016 to 2018. The tool is now used by other Indian language Wikisource projects too as part of their workflow. The tool, however, can only operate in Linux based operating system. - Description: IA-upload is a tool which can transfer PDF or DjVu files directly from Internet Archive (IA) to Wikimedia Commons without even downloading them to your computers! The tool can even convert the PDFs to DjVus if you want, can generate metadata automatically from Internet and check whether the file has already been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons to avoid duplication. it is however recommended that you double check the metadata and copyright status of the books as not always the metadata on IA remains correct. Have you noticed that IA has many copyright-free books but they are not anywhere on Wikimedia Commons? It is the time to use IA-upload tool then.
