A Bit About Me

edit

Currently I am a researcher with two contracts at two different organizations in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I'm a libra, focused, determined, and very diplomatic.

I am looking for any information about Transgender Mental Health information, services, and policies throughout Canada and the USA.

The second area I am concerned with is women's experiences with Primary Health Care. What happens to women after they walk in the door of a clinic to see a doctor? What is it like for her? What could be made better for her? Does she get the help she needs? Or does she feel like she wasn't understood or heard?

The women I am most concerned about are women who are further marginalized by poverty, drugs, and prostitution. These are the women who are at risk of further health problems and disease if not handled properly by Primary Care physicians.

Well, there it is folks. Anything related to those things is important to me.

Plus, I'm happy to be a member of Wikipedia and hope to contribute my results and other works.

Latest Workings on Wiki

edit

My latest work is focusing on Feminism, and more specifically, the biography of Elizabeth Cady Stanton [1] at WIKIbooks. I am the only one working on that book so far.

I would like to find a way to get others to help me. However, I am somewhat new in the sense that I can edit a page and contribute but don't know much about who or where to go to find others to contribute with me.

I would love to contribute a logo but I use the GIMP which is a raster based graphics program and I think for these sorts of logos you really need to work with a vector based program. Still, I pine away wanting to contribute. Sad is moi.
