Wikiviews

This project is very much in development stages, please feel free to contribute and discuss ideas

Wikiviews (name pending) is a proposed Wikimedia project who's goal is to provide reviews of nearly anything that can be purchased including books, music, movies, cars, technology, clothing, and various other commercial products.

It would attempt to

1. Achieve a neutral-point-of-view, avoid presenting scattered opinions that are difficult to decipher
2. Describe the pros, cons, uses, dangers, and value of various products.
3. Expose manufacturing details, including how the workers who helped to create the product are paid and treated, and how the manufacturing affects the environment.
4. Provide well-written and qualified "user experiences", hopefully from both users who liked and users who did not like the product.
5. Attempt to give accurate measure of its popularity
6. Give a history of advertising for said product
7. In the case of entertainment products, Wikiview's review would attempt to be of quality paralleling major publications of such reviews.
8. Provide some sort of price analysis.
9. Provide some sort of logenvity data if possible.

It would be mediated by a "small army" of writers and editors, similar in cause to Wikipedians, in that they promote NPOV, and review work to ensure it's factual and truthful.
