Wikis World/2023-04

Today we are celebrating 6 whole months of Wikis World! On 2022-10-12, we started with just two members; half a year later, we’ve grown to almost a hundred (97 as of 2023-04-12, up one from last month's 96). Wikis World encompasses many individual wiki enthusiasts sharing posts about a wide variety of topics. Active languages include English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Norwegian Nynorsk, Vietnamese, German, Finnish and Italian. This is not to mention the community-run Wikimedia project accounts, staff-run Wikimedia project accounts, and even non-Wikimedia wiki projects.

This month we added another moderator, AntiCompositeNumber; thanks to him for volunteering. Our hosting provider has upgraded us to Mastodon 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 since the last update (if you're not already following the @announcements account to learn these things, you should be!).

Work is also progressing on the RealMe MediaWiki extension so linking your wiki user page on your Mastodon profile can get a verified checkmark.
