Description: The aim of the project is to edit Wikipedia and provide more information and facts about various conflicts across the world and focus on the role and the responsibility of media in conflict resolution. Further we will analyze media propaganda in escalating the conflicts in different parts of the world. We are looking for motivated participants to edit together Wikipedia, it is for beginners as well as experienced Wikipedians. We will focus on the topic of peace brought through media as well as conflicts generated by mass media. It will be an intensive and interesting workcamp. We plan to have meetings with volunteers from Wikimedia Switzerland, meet local people from the area and organise a trip.

Type of Work: Editing Wikipedia articles in English and the native languages of the participants. For beginners, there will be a short training provided about technical and content part of editing Wikipedia.

Study Theme: Bringing peace through raising knowledge and awareness about conflict areas and the role of media.
