Über das Projekt

Aufgrund der Pandemie suchen Aktivist*innen nach neuen digitalen Räumen, um Botschaften für soziale Gerechtigkeit stärker sichtbar zu machen - Wikipedia kann ein solcher Raum sein. In diesem Wikipedia for Peace-Projekt lernen wir, Wikipedia-Artikel zu schreiben und lernen inspirierende Menschen und Organisationen kennen, die sich für Klimagerechtigkeit einsetzen. Das Projekt wird in Zusammenarbeit mit der Klima-Arbeitsgruppe der Friedensorganisation Service Civil International Deutschland organisiert. Wir werden eine Gruppe von 15 Teilnehmenden sein, die meisten von uns in Deutschland lebend. Wir treffen uns online via Videochat von 25. bis 26. April. Unsere gemeinsame Sprache wird Deutsch sein. Neben dem Bearbeiten von Wikipedia-Artikeln und Diskussionen rund um Klimagerechtigkeit werden wir auch gemeinsam kochen und uns kennenlernen.

A pandemic is spreading across the globe and activists are looking for new online spaces to use for peace and social justice. Wikipedia can be one of them! In this Wikipedia for Peace project, we will learn how to write Wikipedia articles and will get to know the inspiring biographies of amazing activists fighting for climate justice to make our planet a better place. This project is organised in cooperation with the Klima-AG (climate justice working group) of Service Civil International Germany. We will be a group of 15, most of us living in Germany. We will meet online via video calls on 25-26 April. Our common language will be German. Apart from editing Wikipedia and discussing climate justice, we will cook together and get to know each other.
