Wikipedia Weekly Network/Checklist

PROCESS
  1. PLANNING
    1. Make a new template of show metadata based on TEMPLATE below
    2. Person, title, what they are known for, Wikimedia username, hashtags, links to meta page for WWN, links for social media
  2. INITIALIZATION
    1. Create StreamYard show with Facebook, YouTube, Periscope and Twitch
    2. Add TEMPLATE metadata you created
    3. Tick "Schedule for later" and add the time, which will add placeholders in Facebook and YouTube
    4. YouTube - upload thumbnail image if possible
  3. SHOW-PREP
    1. Create lower third static for show
    2. Create lower third crawl for show
    3. Copy lower third
  4. PRE-SHOW
    1. Host: Load up background image of Wikipedia globe
    2. Host: Bring in guests into "Broadcast studio"
    3. Host: Screenshare a Chrome tab, with audio on, to be ready for sharing anything
    4. Guest prep:
      1. Make sure they are running Chrome
      2. Have them screenshare a Chrome tab - clean looking, WITHOUT URL bar, decorations
      3. Make sure their audio is good - headset is preferable
      4. Make sure their eyes are in the top 1/3 of the screen (more room for lower-thirds)
  5. SHOW START
    1. Start on blank logo
  6. START BROADCAST
    1. Start MP4 "Overlay" video for 10 seconds
    2. End on blank logo
    3. Bring in video of host
        1. "Welcome to another episode of Wikipedia Weekly, I'm your host TK"
    4. Bring in guests one by one with intro
  7. SHOW BODY
    1. Intermittently bring in the lower third to display show details - people may be tuning in during the middle of the show, or see a peek of it in their social feed (Twitter and FB especially)
  8. SHOW END
    1. Remind folks to subscribe, tweet and comment below
    2. Remind folks of where to find us
    3. Roll end MP4 video (TBD)
  9. AFTER SHOW
    1. Go to YouTube and change license of video to CC-BY -
    2. https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCa5oYsCabGo7XwwKGqo7Qcw/videos/live
    3. Thank guests in email or social
