Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos Contest 2024 at Yoruba Wikipedia

Why should we care about adding photos to Wikipedia articles?

Improve Wikipedia pages with photos

Photos on articles attract attentions and express the information in ways the text cannot. This impacts the reliability and credibility of the article.

Imagine if all articles on Wikipedia have one or more photos illustrating them.

Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos 2024 at Yoruba Wikipedia is annual campaign where Wikipedians at Yoruba Wikipedia add photos to articles lacking images. This is to promote the use of digital media files collected from various WP photography contests, organized by the Wikimedia community, on Wikipedia article pages. Photos improve readers experience, illustrate content, and make articles engaging. The campaign would also help sharpen the skills of new and existing editors.
