Wikipedia Asian Month is an online Edit-a-thon aimed at enhancing understanding among Asian Wikipedia communities. Taking place within November to December 2022, the purpose of Asian Month at [your language] Wikipedia is to improve the quantity and quality of articles about Asian countries except [your country]

As a symbol of friendship between Wikipedia's Asian communities, each participant who creates at least 4 articles that fulfill the criteria will receive a specially designed Barstars from the Wikipedia Asian Month User Group.

Rules

In a nutshell: New Article, about Asia, good quality, 3,000 bytes and 300 words minimum, created during November, 2020 and not a list.

In specific:

  • All edits is newly created by you (i.e. not expanding stubs) between the start and end date of your local campaign.Must be between November 1, 2022 0:00 (UTC) and December 31, 2022 23:59 (UTC).
  • Your edits should be at least 3,000 bytes.
  • The article shall fulfill notability criteria
  • The article must have decent references coverage; doubtful or controversial statements in the article should be verifiable by the citation(s) listed in that article.
  • The article is not machine translated, and has a decent language style
  • There are no issues (no tags) in the article
  • The article is informative
  • The article is about an Asian Country or region except [your language speaking country(s)]
  • Articles submitted by an organizer need to be checked by other organizers.

Notes:

  • In the end, human juror(s) from local Wikipedia will determine whether an article is accepted or not.
