Wikinews Nunchi

WIKINEWS NUNCHI

Wikinews Nunchi appeared in the Portuguese-speaking community in May 2021 and intends to bring together all the languages currently available from Wikinews.

Nunchi is a Korean expression (hangul: 눈치) and means the ability to listen to others and understand them. This term was chosen because one of the main goals is to increase the dialogue between different languages.

In addition, Wikinews is the project that has received the most closure requests in the last two years. There were nine requests closed between 2019 and 2020, five for Wikinews languages.

Korean Wikinews has suffered two closure requests. South Korea alone has 51.5 millions of citizens (27th largest population in the world).

  All (or almost all) languages do not have a wordmark. It is necessary to create and organize the images.
