#WikiCariFest is a first-of-its-kind, online Wikimedia community celebration of Caribbean cultures, colours, creeds & ideas – hosted by Wikipedia Weekly!
Wikimedians of the Caribbean aims to achieve this through threading-the-needle through the various composite parts of the Caribbean experience; Food, Literature, Folklore, and the Visual & Performing Arts.
The event aims to:
- Increasing awareness of various parts of our regional culture.
- Sparking greater awareness of the heterogeneity of Caribbean culture and its 30+ million inhabitants.
- Galvanizing community members to improve contributions on Wikipedia Categories, Commons & most importantly, WikiData - in all the region's representative languages.
