Punjabi Poets' Republic Day Meet, Delhi - Jan 2020 is an event to be organised by Harvinder Chandigarh, the member of the User Group Wikimedians of North India. The event was conducted mainly to cover National level literary event "Punjabi Poets' Republic Day literary Meet" conducted annually on Republic Day of India. The event is conducted by Punjabi Academy Delhi [1]. It is an integral part of series of National Republic Day (India) cultural celebrations of India in which poets of different languages and other cultural activists participate and recite their poems. Republic Day of India is scheduled every year on 26th January date on which the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950.

Objective

To create content of this event having National Importance.
To take images of eminent literary poets and personalities and preserve them by uploading on Commons.
To enrich the existing content on Wikipedia by adding relevant images to it and other media to them.
To create awareness about Wikipedia among writers and readers.

Reference period

The visit will be conducted on 17th and 18th January 2020.
