Cultural /Natural Heritage Mapping of Kassauli Area is a photowalk event organised by Harvinder Chandigarh , the founder member of the User Group Wikimedians of North India .The event was conducted mainly to cover the Cultural and Natural heritage sites of the historically important Kassauli area of Himachal Pardesh.An effort was made to capture images of social life of people , landscape ,flora and fauna also. There are few sites which have been declared as 'protected monuments' due to their historical significance.

Objective

• To take images of historically and culturally important sites and upload on Commons.
• To create new content on Wikipedia.
• To enrich the existing content on Wikipedia by adding relevant images to it .
• To create awareness about Wikipedia in the the local community.

Reference period

Repeated visits were conducted for the last few years.
