Malayalam Wikipedia 60000 was an onsite edit workshop conducted by Wikimedians of Kerala at Govt. Model Boys Higher Secondary School Kollam on 10th November 2018. The main goal of this workshop was to complete 60000 articles in Malayalam Wikipedia. 50 students from high school and 15 teachers are participated in this workshop. Viswaprabha taken an introductory class about Wikimedia, Wikipedia and other projects.

Report
editMalayalam Wikipedia 60000 workshop was conducted on 10th November 2018 at Govt. Model Boys Higher Secondary School Kollam. This Onsite Edit a thon was conducted by Wikimedians of Kerala User Group in association with KITE Kollam and A2K, The Centre for Internet and Society. The programme started at 10 AM and closed at 2.30 PM. The main goal of this event was to complete 60000 articles in Malayalam Wikipedia.
The event was started with a small introduction about how to edit Wikipedia. The main area of the articles was the meter in Malayalam Poetry. Students contributed to the project under the supervision of teachers and senior Wikipedia editors.
50 students, Little KITE members, 16 teachers from 24 schools at Kollam town are participated in this event. All the students are new users in Wikipedia. 116 new articles created on this day. A cake cutting celebration was followed at the end of the event.
