Wikimedians of Colorado User Group/Annual Report 2016
Wikimedians of Colorado had a pretty good 2016! It was our first year as an official user group -- we were recognized by the AffComm on March 3, 2016. In the course of the year, we helped organize or supported the following events:
- January 19: Meetup at the Boulder Public Library in Boulder, Colorado.
- March 5: Art+Feminism 2016 at the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder, Colorado.
- August 7: The Great Colorado Wiknic 2016 in Arvada, Colorado.
- Member User:अभय नातू represented us at Wikimedia Conference 2017, 31 March to 2 April, 2017
We're pretty optimistic about 2017: the main event on our calendar remains the Great Colorado Wiknic 2017, and we've already had a local success with Boulder Women of Wikipedia event that was written up in a local newspaper. Two further Women of Wikipedia editathons were organized since, which we helped facilitate as well.
