Wikimedians of Chicago User Group/2018 Annual Report
This is the first annual report for the Wikimedians of Chicago User Group. It details activities from March 2017 to September 2018.
- March 25, 2017: The Sulzer Regional Library edit-a-thon was held before the user group was officially approved. It was organized with the help of a Rapid Grant. This event brought together 15 editors with the goal of meeting new people and improving articles on the English Wikipedia.
- July 5, 2017: The Wikimedians of Chicago User Group was officially approved.
- February 8, 2018: Black Lunch Table held an edit-a-thon at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; at the same time, Black Lunch Table also held an event in New York.
- June 19, 2018: Black Lunch Table held an edit-a-thon with a photo booth at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, with a focus on learning how to upload photos to Wikipedia.
- September 29, 2018: Wikimedians of Chicago User Group met for brunch and a chat at Meli Cafe in Chicago.
