Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group/AFCON 2021

AFCON 2021 known as the TotalEnergies 2021 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was hosted by Cameroon, and took place from 9 January to 6 February 2022.

Context and justfifcation

It is planned that amateur photographers and accredited professional photographers can take photos in the various stadiums and outside the stadiums to have all the content around AFCON 2022. There will be upload sessions in four towns (Garoua, Yaounde, Douala and Buea); It is the mayor where tournament will be playing.

How to participate?

The project started on January, 2022 and recruited any volunteer photographer to participate in this project regardless of their nationality or not, or their residence. It is important to have a Wikipedia account for your participation to be taken into account (Aide:Compte utilisateur).

Pictures will be uploaded on Wikimedia Commons.

Rules

Pictures will be have at least 1MB.

Importantes dates

• 15th March 2022: launch
• 19th May 2022: Upload in Yaounde town
• 20th - 31st May 2022: Online sessions
• 31st May 2022: Closing upload
