Thank you indeed for you enquiry about venue locations in
Dublin. We are delighted to have the opportunity of assisting
you. I see from your website that you have had lengthy
discussions about the where and when of the conference, so I do
hope that Dublin will be successful in bidding for this process
on the basis of quality, variety, tourism, low-cost access etc.
DCB’s role is to streamline the whole process on your behalf
and to act as a reference/advice point for you on any matters,
from accommodation, venues, where to go, what to see, provision
of material. We do not charge our members for the business, as
they pay a subscription fee to us during the year, which covers
our cost of operations.
Considering the size of your group, I would strongly advise you
to use the services of a Professional Conference Organisers, as
they would be able to coordinate the whole thing with you on a
full scale or even partially. I have attached a document with
their services, so I hope that you will find this useful. I
have also attached information on the DCB services and Why
Dublin is a great destination for your meeting.
The venues you mentioned are suitable, but there are also
others, so I will give you more options.
Tourism Ireland won’t be able to organize accommodation as that
is not their remit. (I am ex Tourism Ireland) I can help
source accommodation at any level and cost and give you this
information. N.B. There is no charge for any of the services
that we offer.
Good sources of information for everyone in general are

Access – definitely better value to book through the websites:
www.ryanair.com www.aerlingus.com – both operating as low cost
Transport when in the city: public transport is improving all
the time. Dublin has just introduced the LUAS. www.luas.ie
www.aircoach.ie – Transport to and from the city/airport.
Tickets can even be purchased in advance. Since the coaches
use the bus lanes, they can avoid a lot of traffic. Stop off
points are strategically based in front of many hotels around
the city. The website contains their route maps.
I will be in touch tomorrow with some options for you to
In the meantime, do you have a postal address that I could
send some material to you. I would like to send our planner’s
guide, along with some samples of material that I would be able
to supply you for all your delegates, should Dublin be the
I look forward to hearing back from you.
