Closing address by Ms. Lina Eidmark

Dear friends,

It is with great pleasure that I have followed the dashboard of your work this week, and I am very impressed to see that you together have made at least 1000 edits, creating more than 20 new articles and improved another 100! Well done!

The figures might sound small compared to the millions of articles already on Wikipedia, but we have a Swedish proverb saying “Many small rivers will create a big sea” and I think this is very true.

Your engagement and work are crucial to make a change. Every single edit will add to the global movement of people working hard to make Wikipedia, and the world, more gender balanced.

I would like to thank you all for joining WikiGap this year, and especially the volunteers from Wikimedia Thailand for putting together this event with a very short notice.

As a token of our appreciation all participants will receive a diploma signed by the Swedish ambassador.

I hope we can continue to work with WikiGap together, and the Swedish Embassy will be ready to offer support in this regard.

Looking forward meeting you all in real life soon, maybe for WikiGap Bangkok 2023!

สวัสดีเพื่อนๆ ของดิฉัน

ดิฉันได้ติดตามแผงกิจกรรมของผลงานพวกคุณในสัปดาห์นี้ด้วยความปิติ และดิฉันรู้สึกประทับใจเมื่อดิฉันเห็นว่าพวกคุณได้ทำการแก้ไขมากกว่า 1000 ครั้ง สร้างบทความใหม่ขึ้นมามากกว่า 20 บทความ และพัฒนาปรับปรุงบทความอีก 100 บทความ

ตัวเลขที่กล่าวมาอาจดูน้อยนิดเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับจำนวนบทความที่มีอยู่แล้วบนวิกิพีเดียซึ่งอยู่ในหลักล้าน แต่ดิฉันเห็นว่ามันสอดคล้องกับสุภาษิตสวีเดนที่ว่า แม่น้ำเล็กๆ หลายๆ สายพอรวมกันแล้วจะกลายเป็นทะเลอันกว้างใหญ่

ความตอบสนองต่อกิจกรรมและผลงานของพวกคุณถือเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่จะนำมาซึ่งความเปลี่ยนแปลง ทุกๆ การแก้ไขบนวิกิพีเดียนั้นเป็นการส่งเสริมขบวนการของผู้คนที่มีความทะเยอทะยานที่จะทำให้วิกิพีเดียและโลกเรามีความเสมอภาคทางเพศมากขึ้น

ดิฉันต้องขอขอบคุณพวกคุณที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม WikiGap ในปีนี้ โดยเฉพาะอาสาสมัครจากวิกิมีเดียประเทศไทยที่จัดกิจกรรมนี้ขึ้นมาภายในช่วงเวลาเตรียมการอันสั้น

ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมทุกคนจะได้รับประกาศนียบัตรเป็นของที่ระลึกซึ่งแสดงความขอบคุณจากทางเรา โดยเอกอัครราชทูตสวีเดนประจำประเทศไทยจะเป็นผู้ลงนามบนประกาศนียบัตร

ดิฉันหวังว่าพวกเราจะสามารถมาร่วมงาน WikiGap กันต่อไป โดยสถานทูตสวีเดนนั้นพร้อมเสมอที่จะช่วยสนับสนุนในประเด็นนี้

ดิฉันตั้งหน้าตั้งตาที่จะพบทุกคนตัวเป็นๆ ในไม่ช้า ซึ่งอาจจะเป็นช่วงกิจกรรม WikiGap Bangkok ปี 2023
