Wikimedia Dominican Republic is a proposal to create a Wikimedia chapter in Dominican Republic in order to promote its jurisdiction and disseminate itself to all Wikimedia foundation projects.

Chapter Scholarships

The chapters exist to promote the aims of Wikimedia. They make it commissioning of a wide rank of activities, between which find , but do not limit , to the following:
- Promotion of the projects of Wikimedia so that more people one to them or use them (professors, scientists, university, students, libraries, etc.)
- * Investigating and negotiating partnerships on a moral or financial basis to support the Wikimedia projects.
- * Helping outside organizations use Wikimedia content, possibly for their own benefit (eg. help publishers of local history Wikireaders, of a Wikipedia DVD in a given language)
- Organise initiatives and local and national events (by ej. Participating in commercial demonstrations, organising meetings of Wikipedia, organising conferences, etc.).
- Treat with the press in a country given, give him to the press a speaker in his own tongue and culture.
- * Enabling (where applicable) tax-deductible donations in the country they are based in.
- Promotion of the Free Content and the culture Wiki in his respective territories.
