Staffing Plan 2021–2022Edit

The Wikimedia NYC Board of Directors aims to hire a consultant to serve as the Executive Director of the organization in 2021-2022. Since its founding, the Chapter has been entirely volunteer-run, but it's grown considerably over the years at a rate which has outstripped its volunteer capacity. The Board is excited to hire an Executive Director to lead the organization's growth, setting the strategic vision in collaboration with the Board of Directors, executing the annual plan, and building up the Chapter's programming, systems, and processes to best support and engage our members, partners, and other stakeholders. This position will be 1.0 FTE, with renewable contract for 12 months.

The Board has finalized a job description (below) and expects to advertise and select a candidate by the end of August 2021, contingent upon successful reinstatement of Wikimedia NYC’s tax status and disbursement of funds.
