What is your implication on Wikimedia projects? How is it aligned with the theme of the conference? Please describe in details.
...I have been a Wikipedian since 2015 and a community leader in my region. I have lead more than 25 events within this period. My activities are often targetted towards marginalised groups and deprived communities. I have coorganised at least one activity for refugees and have lead editathons on refugee rights on Wikipedia in Marseille. I am also a co-founder of Sans Pages / Mediterranean. Considering the topic of Wikimania this year and its connection to the UN SDG's, I am keenly interested in using the platform to discuss my current project which consists of creating a board game that can be used to train and onboard children, disabled individuals (autistic, etc.) and people who, have never used a computer.
My activities have led to the creation of more than 373 new articles, recruited 325 people and improved about 1.93K articles. Most of my projects also have a qualitive reach, as my activities are targetted at people whose rights have been curtailed in their places of existence.
What is your motivation attending Wikimania?
...I am particularly enthused because I believe Wikimania will provide me with the suitable audience to discuss and receive feedback about my upcoming project(s). I intend to organise a poster session on my game project to ensure discussions around the idea and refinement from others to make it better. Secondly I have never had an opportunity to connect with the larger movement and I believe my participation will uniquely provide an experience that will improve my activities back home. I have also interacted with a couple of people online and itr will certainly be an honour to connect with them in person. I am also sure the selected pool of people will impact my views and add value to my experience as a Wikipedian.
