Best Practices and Tips
edit- Be welcoming and friendly. People will have questions about the election process and are glad you are sharing the information.
- Some people might have feedback and that’s ok. Feel free to pass this along to the facilitation team. Do not feel you must solve situations that arise. That is why we are here.
- Write simply. This makes messages accessible for many people. Example: Use “The cat ran up the tree.” instead of “The fluffy orange cat darted quickly up the huge tree.”
- Ask for support. If you need support, please ask. If you need to take a break from the Election Volunteer role, just let us know.
Message timeline
editHere is the estimated timeline of the messages the Board Election facilitators will be sending out. These dates may change. The table will be updated if dates change.
The messages will be drafted and approved by the Board Election facilitation team. The messages will be shared with Election Volunteers as soon as they are available. The Election Volunteers can update the messages to make them more accessible to their communities as long as the core information remains the same.
