Program: Development & Leadership edit

Teams contributing to the program:
T&C, C-Team, All Staff
Annual Plan FY18-19 topline goals: Foundational Strength - evolve our systems and structures
With leaps and bounds as well as stumbles and false-starts, we seek to continually improve ourselves, our projects, our communities, our world. With initiative and experimentation, we iterate our way toward making the world a better place. We are guided by a vision of a better world. We revere what has come before and are in awe of the work ahead. Engaging in civil discourse requires kindness, care, respect, tact, empathy, trust, and safety. It is key to getting, giving, and receiving good information. We must create space where people feel safe to express themselves and be heard.
Program Goal:
We strive for excellence. We are inspired.  We engage in civil discourse.
Outcome:
Imagine a world in which our our people are equipped with the mindsets and skills required to solve the complex challenges before us; where we live our values; where we support and challenge each other in pursuit of our mission.
Output 1: Develop leaders: Support and engage leaders to help them change and develop on the job. Offer trainings that are experiential and engaging.
Output 2: Support healthy performance: Constructive feedback and quality conversation anchored in accountability are the fuel of high performance. Offer trainings and coaching 1:1 in the art of developmental and difficult conversations.
Output 3: Create a “practice environment”: Getting, giving, and receiving good information is an ongoing practice. Work to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable practicing as a student.

Annual Plan FY18-19 topline goals: Foundational Strength - evolve our systems and structures
Our differences are precious; they make us smarter, stronger, humble. They balance our biases and weaknesses. We do our best work when we understand problems from all perspectives. When voices are absent, ignored or silenced, we seek them out. We are welcoming hosts, caring neighbors, and equitable allies. We welcome difference with curiosity, delight and hope. Collaboration is not always easy. Working together is hard, but it’s worth it. We do it because it makes us stronger. For it to work well, each of us needs to be honest, accountable, and transparent to one another.
Program Goal:
We are in this together.  We welcome and cherish our differences.
Outcome:
We seek to hire the brightest and most engaged talent across the world, while constantly striving to streamline processes and improve internal operations to engage, develop and retain them.
Output 1: Globally diverse & inclusive recruiting:  Nurture a globally diverse & inclusive mindset throughout the hiring process from creation of the JD, workforce planning, sourcing strategy, interviews/evaluations and the closing process. This includes a high-touch, transparent and values-driven experience that has candidates walking away with a very high view of the Foundation as a top organization to work for.
Output 2: Global worker experience: Ensure ability to work with people around the globe, minimizing risk to the foundation while ensuring baseline benefits and a supportive experience.
