edit2022-04-04: Announcing a new Wikipedia writing course!
editDespite the fact that a lot of people have been successfully passing our courses since the beginning of the year, the number of people interested is still growing.
And we definitely intend to support that!
Právě pro ně jsme ve spolupráci s centrem Elpida připravili nový kurz Senioři píší Wikipedie pro začátečníky. Ovšem nezoufejte, kurz je otevřen široké veřejnosti, ne jen pro klienty centra Elpida.
In cooperation with the Elpida Centre, we have prepared a new course for them - Seniors Writing Wikipedia for Beginners. But don't despair, the course is open to the general public, not just Elpida Centre clients.
The course "Seniors write Wikipedia for beginners" in cooperation with the Elpida Centre with 6 lessons will take place from 14 April 2022 to 19 May 2022. The lecturer is [Bednařík]. The course takes place online on the Whereby platform.
So if you have the desire and time Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM, feel free to sign up here!
2022-04-11: Learn how to write Wikipedia with us in 2022
editWe are opening registration for Wikipedia writing courses designed not only for librarians. |
Before the summer will hit on us, we have traditionally prepared three courses for you, which follow each other freely. They are intended both for beginners who want to learn the basics of editing on Wikipedia, and for more experienced ones who are interested in training their skills in order to start passing these skills on to others. |
2022-04-13: Do you have Computer at school?
editAfter a few years and a covid break, we returned to our participation in the Computer at School conference, which focuses on digital technologies in education - how to present them effectively, efficiently, interestingly.
This year's event will focus, among other things, on digital competence in humanities subjects and the changes that have taken place in the Framework Curriculum regarding the development of ICT competence.
The conference is taking place on 12-14 April, traditionally in Nové Město na Moravě. Colours of Wikimedia is defended by Lukáš Jakubík, a teacher, Wikimedian and member of the WMČR. Among other things, he will discuss with teachers how to (not) work with Wikipedia in teaching.
We supported his participation at conference as part of Community Mini-Grants.
More about the conference here.

edit2022-04-07: WikiGap 2022 brought a record 431 edits
editWe have achieved a new WikiGap record - 431 articles about women and related topics were created and expanded on the Czech Wikipedia during the month! We are working on more detailed statistics. In March, there were a total of six editathons, including student and senior ones. We would like to thank all participants and partners for joining this year's challenge and helping to close the internet gender gap. The winners of the wo-men publishing vouchers will be contacted soon.

edit2022-04-28: Looking back at Wikicity in Třeboň: dozens of new articles
editWikicity - a team of Wikipedians embark on a mission to better map a city on Wikipedia. Members of the expedition will use local libraries, museums, etc. to pull information available from local sources and add it to Wikipedia. What was achieved at the last Wikicity in South Bohemia? Why Třeboň? And what is it actually like to organize a Wikimest in November? The organizer of the event, Aktron, answers these questions in his blogpost (Czech only).
