15 SEPTEMBER 2023: Anna Prodromou hosted a workshop at the Annual CEE Meeting in Tbilisi titled "Bridging Divides Embracing Diversity: The Role of Wikimedia Community.” During the session, participants explored the incredible potential of Wikimedia projects and open knowledge to connect diverse communities, foster collaboration, and break down barriers. 30 SEPTEMBER 2023: The Cyprus Forum 29-30 SEPTEMBER, hosted a fireside discussion on the topic of "AI, Wikipedia, and the Future of Knowledge: Nurturing Transparency, Collaboration, and Accessibility" with speakers Anna Prodromou from Wikimedia Community User Group Cyprus and Marios Magioladitis from the Wikimedia Community User Group Greece. Wikimedians Anna and Marios dived into a discourse on the transformative role of AI and Wikipedia in shaping our knowledge ecosystem, focusing on exploring the synergy between these entities, and understanding how their collaboration can foster transparency, accessibility, and inclusivity, leading to an empowered and informed society. 16 NOVEMBER 2023: The Wikimedia CEE Catch Up session, which delved into the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its role in Wikipedia held a presentation by Anna Prodromou Wikimedia Community User Group Cyprus and Marios Magioladitis Wikimedia Community User Group Greece. Marios explored how AI tools can revolutionize our Wiki work and activities and I talked about the ethical implication of using such tools. The overall session was a deep dive into learning and understanding the potential of AI in enhancing our collaborative efforts.
