  • Meet Jenny Ebermann: WMCH's Executive Director

Grown up in Brussels, of German nationality and since more than 9 years living in Switzerland, Jenny Ebermann joins Wikimedia CH as the organisation’s new Executive Director. With over 18 years of successful multicultural, cross-functional and virtual team management, she possesses hands-on experience in the Public Sector, International Organizations, NGOs and Multinational Corporations (B2B/ B2C) in various countries and continents.
At Wikimedia CH, one of her first undertakings will be to lead the Board and staff into a vision finding workshop, setting the frame for the future of the organisation. As a next step, main contributors and members from the community will be asked to get together for a creative brainstorming, where the programme and strategic priorities for the future will be decided out of a collaborative effort. In Jenny’s view, the keys for leading the path into the future, lies in engaging and enabling the community as well as making the organisation more visible as a key partner and actor in Switzerland. Ensuring at the same time that Wikimedia CH’s vision is aligned with Foundation guidelines and frameworks will allow us subsequently, to position us adequately in the ever changing environment of the Wikiverse.
