Retaining and re-engaging new editors/participants are important skills organizers from different communities are keen to develop, particularly during and after event organising. Wiki for Human Rights is a great way to bring together different campaign organisers to share practices that have worked, or not worked in campaign organising to effectively train and engage newcomer editors and support them after campaign activities.

The program creates an open and safe learning space for any Wikimedian that is part of an organized group to share and/or learn different skills (organizational / interpersonal / grant related / learning & evaluation ...) with other peers to add value and contribute collectively to the community. The purpose is to further develop skills, share knowledge and promote human connections and mutual support between different groups and communities, in alignment with the Movement Strategy.

In this clinic you will learn from peers some practices to retain and re-engage editors during the WikiForHumanRights 2023 and how some of the new on-line growth tools can support this.

Any Wikimedian organiser that is participating in the WikiForHumanRights campaign this year, particularly in the CEE region, but also in other regions.

This event will be lead by IvanaMadzarevic from Wikimedia Serbia and KStoller-WMF from the WMF Growth Team. It will be facilitated by Kiril Simeonovski and Nadzik.

The main language of the session will be English with interpretations in:

  • French,
  • Spanish, and
  • Portuguese.
