Abstract:
GLAMs provide important historical, artistic, and cultural information to a broad range of audiences. We will discuss the Connecting Archive, Connecting People Project (CACP), and the Wiki Meets Museums of Türkiye Project, which use Wikidata for data on places and people, featuring two case studies from Türkiye. Both projects aim to build a sense of community based on the research data held in the relevant organizations that share the goals of increasing the visibility of these organizations and the accessibility of information. We will also discuss the methods to use when using archival data and integration with wikidata. |
