| Abstract:
The presentation introduces the development of Wikipedia as a teaching tool in the Estonian education system. What has been achieved in 10+ years and how has it been done? Good practical examples both at the level of higher education and general education with statistical numbers. What can be done and what might be the best practices for it? |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of CEE?
Not only have university students written thousands upon thousands of lengthy Wikipedia articles in Estonia, but universities have also partnered with us to promote Wikipedia nationwide. In more recent years we have expanded that into other levels of education and are now even officials partners with the Ministry of Education and Research. If a small chapter can make that happen, then everyone can. | |||
