Abstract:
WikiCamps and WikiClubs were efficient projects for bringing new volunteers and spreading Wikimovement. These projects are run by Wikimedia Armenia for almost 10 years and successfully provided community engagement with age, gender, and geographic diversity. Hundreds of people each year are trained to edit Wikipedia and other sibling projects, and by doing this enter our world. Teacher's training is another high-yield project, which is designed to be a unique bridge between WikiCamps and WikiClubs. In 2023 Wikimedia Armenia implemented new approaches to teaching, selection, and follow-up processes for these projects, substantially increasing their efficacy and outcomes. This Lecture is to present those approaches and share our recent experience.
