- While connecting with and engaging of members and activists is important for long-term success, it may be hard to do it often enough, in a way that really connects with them and does not require too many resources.
- To help with this situation comes CiviCRM - the leading constituent management system (CRM) for the non-profit sector, used and supported even by Wikimedia Foundation. You will learn the basics of CiviCRM (like membership application form, newsletter subscribe form, maybe events, volunteer recruitment) so you can navigate yourself and learn more advanced stuff (automation, email series, fundraising, member portal, etc).
- How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe?
- Administration of affiliates (memberships, events, newsletters, volunteers etc) will improve, will be more coherent, and more automated so it will free some time, effort, energy and attention of the activists to do some other Wikimedia work (bigger impact) or to rejuvenate (which is important for sustainability of organizations and communities).
